"The Mist" is an approximately 50 to 60 minute long composition I wrote for my Bachelor Recital at Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover. It's written for large ensemble and narrator based on the short story "The Mist" by Stephen King.
Idea
My goal was to blur the boundaries between language and music and to create a lively dialogue through the interaction of instruments and voice. I was inspired by film music, but also by modern (jazz) compositions and tried to combine and fuse my different musical influences.
